Welcome to Santiago

Hy! I’m going to show you my city, Santiago de Chile. We are going to begin in downtown, the Government House called La Moneda. There is a pretty museum. Then we could lunch in a great restaurant, “Fuente Alemana”, there, they sell the best sandwiches of the country. To go there we have to take the subway up to station Pedro de Valdivia and walk a couple blocks. I recommend to you to ask for a sandwich of “mechada”, ¡is the best!
In the afternoon, we can go to the zoo in the hill San Cristobal. It’s not very pretty but it’s a good walk to happen the day and take beer in Bellavista’s street.

Also, in Bellavista’s neighborhood , you can try a nice restaurant called “Ciudad Vieja” , where you can eat  very tasty Sandwhiches. What makes it special is that it mixes traditional Chilean ingredients with innovating ones. It’s the perfect place to eat something simple but of high quality surrounded by an old style decoration.

Maybe if you don’t feel like eating a Sandwich and you want to go for something else, “El Mesón Nerudiano” happens to be in the same neighborhood, and you will find nice Chilean-mediterranean food and the best national  live jazz and poetry as well.  Remember that Neruda was very important Chilean poet (he won one Nobel price) and this restaurant was called after him.

Finally, if you want to have more choices, in “Patio Bellavista” you can find more restaurants.

After that we can go to dance. The best place in Bellavista is Maestra vida, a place where we can have so much fun and learn few salsa steps. Also we can drink piscola, a tipical and one of most popular drinks in my country.

Now I recomed you to go to bed. It was a tiring day and you must rest. The best opcion is to rent a room at "Rio Amazonas" Hostel. This hostel is located in Brazil´s neighborhood, near to Alameda´s street.
The rooms are not very beautifull, but is the best opcion if you want to stay in the heart of santiago city and have the posibility to go whereever you want.
This is my city y hope you enjoy it.

Uruguay

I have been to Uruguay. I arrived to Buenos Aires, but then I cross in “Buquebus” to Montevideo. That was a very fun experience. During the trip I went to diferents beaches but I haven`t the pleasure to know museums. There I saw blue crabs and was very amazing but very scary too. Me and my friends ate “Chivitos” a very typicall food of that country, it was very delicious.

South of Chile

I have been to south of Chile and in this place I made a BBQ and then I swam in the river.  On my return I cooked a typical dish of south, and then I met very nice people. Finally I have been in the casino and played black jack. I didn`t do very well, but it was a fun experience.

I have been in Guatemala

I have been in Guatemala. I was there in 2001.
There I hiked an active volcano, located in Antigua Guatemala, a little town of sixteenth century. There I also did canopy, but I have never done bungee jump.
Every day I and my family went to different museums where you can find Maya’s legacy and many objects of the colonial era. But the worse thing is that I have never been on Tikal, a national park with Mayan pyramids, like Machu Pichu in Perú.

Things I did and did not

I have been to Mexico in 2006, and there I have launched in bengee. During the travel, I walked a lot, but I haven’t done trekking. When I arrived to Mexico City, it was rush hour so I have never token a taxi Mexican, me and my family moved only by underground. During my last day on Mexico, I have been to the opera, it’s was incredible!

Today in Santiago de Chile

Santiago today is rainy and very cold. It is also a very humid city.  Probably after the rain it will be freezing, and we will all have to turn on the stove. Yesterday it didn’t rain, but it will not stop until tomorrow.
